10 patients were monitored after release from A&E with a urinary catheter, the average age was 63.5 (high – 82, low – 27)

All of the subject received a 14Fr catheter. On average the catheter and UroShield were in place for 6.6 days (4-12 days). The results show a reduction from 6.1 to 1.8, 2.6 to 0.4, 3.7 to 0.2 and 3.7 to 1.0 in pain, itching burning and spasm levels, respectively. There was also significant increase in rating from 3.3 to 7.0 in the well-being of the subjects.
